This Thing On?

Hey there bleuxpee.

Four months later, and I’m attempting to step back up to the mic and rock it one time.

So what’s cookin?

Well, we’re being forced to move out of our house at the end of next month. Seems the owners decided to sell it, and did so with a quickness. (To the tune of $290,000. The Heights is a ridiculous place to buy a house.) As a matter of fact, I’m sitting at my dining room table right now listening to several contractors harumpf in my kitchen over spreadsheet lists of everything that’s wrong with the house in which I currently reside.

So, I’m back to searching for a place to live this month. Which isn’t as easy as it sounds given the size of the dog I own. For some reason leasing agents tend to blanch when I mention I have a 100 lb. Lab/Greyhound mix.

What else…

Oh, my mom got married on New Year’s Day. That was interesting. I like the guy she married though, and she’s been with him for a long time, so everything copacetic there. (She doesn’t like the idea of her bizness being all upon the Intarwebs, so I’m not going to delve into it a whole lot.)

And the couple/contractors have just exited the building, so I’m going to head to work now.

I’ll see what I can do about updating this thing with a bit more regularity; no promises.

BOOO to having to move. I’ll let you know if I see any adorable, dog-friendly leasers.
YAAYY to Momsy gettin’ hitched. He’s a nice fellow, and she seems happy. Smiley faces!

Yeah, I’m not thrilled about it. Especially since we were looking to buy in a couple years. Expected to put monies away between now and then, not drop more on moving expenses, deposits, etc.

And yes, she’s really happy. I’m for it too. =]
